It’s hard to believe that time is flying so quickly, but it’s time to think about convention! This year we’re heading to Los Angeles and this is one you won’t want to miss! Please make plans now to join us March 24-28, 2010. We are staying at the Hilton Universal City for $185 (single-quad) per night, plus tax. The hotel is just across the street from Universal Studios.
School is back in session and many of you are already busy with your publications. We are now into our sixth week of production at Illinois State University and have seen great success from some of the ideas generated during the Student Ad Manager Workshop in Chicago.

Tami Bongiorni can pinpoint the moment that likely saved the Daily Kent Stater from suffering an undesirable economic hit this year. With advertising from national accounts down, the staff was forced to find a new revenue stream. The Stater’s newfound approach came at the 2009 CNBAM Conference in Charlotte. “I thought they did a brilliant job at the conference,” said Bongio.

The Houstonian, a 4,000-circulation broadsheet semi-weekly student newspaper for Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas is the newest member of the CNBAM family. The publications serves campus of 17,000 students just about an hour north of Houston. Tammie Nokes serves as its business manager.
